Inspired by the circus of long ago and its camaraderie. The old saying of running away with the circus comes to life in this almost staged painting.
There's a real cast of characters here; the "giant man" and the tattooed man glare out while rubbing elbows with "the snake charmer" and "the strong man". There's a young boy who's somehow found his home amongst this motley crew, sitting proudly with his dog. Of course the elephant in all his glory joins this group of "curiosities".
It's just fun...and colorful.
